BEGINNER GROUPS

• Olney Brass Band has an active education programme starting with complete beginners up to and including transition to the Senior Band. Learners come mainly from local primary schools although we do welcome interest from adults and other areas that may not have their own local brass band. Beginners are taught by band members who have a teaching background and are fully DBS-checked. Lessons are FREE and the only cost is a termly direct debit of £10 (£5 concessions) to hire an instrument which they can keep for as long as they remain a member of the Band.

• After about 1 year of learning in a large group and depending on progress made, players are invited to join the OPEN BAND. This Band play an active part in the whole music profile of Olney Brass, playing in concerts and local festivals and fairs.
